Delete Your Account
You can delete your Talecast account at any time, directly in the app or by email. This page explains how, and what is deleted.
What Data Will Be Deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account (anonymous ID and, if you created one, your email sign-in)
- Your listening language, genre and interest preferences, and app settings
- Your library and the list of stories you follow
- Your listening progress and history
- Ratings and reviews you posted, reports you submitted and authors you hid
- Records linking your account to purchases: your key balance, unlocked stories and Talecast Unlimited membership status
How to Delete Your Account in the App
You can delete your account directly in the Talecast app:
- Open Talecast and, on Home, tap the person icon
- This opens "Account"
- Scroll down and tap "Delete account"
- Confirm when prompted. This cannot be undone.
Request Deletion by Email
If you can't access the app, you can ask us to delete your account by email. If you created an email account, send the request from that address or include it, so we can find your data.
Send your deletion request to:
privacy@talecast.xyzPlease put "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line. We will complete your request and confirm within 30 days.
Deletion Timeline
Deletion in the app starts immediately. Requests sent by email are completed within 30 days. Analytics and crash data expire automatically under our retention settings, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Important Notes
- Deletion is permanent. Unused keys and stories you unlocked are deleted with your account and cannot be restored.
- Deleting your account does not cancel a Talecast Unlimited membership. Cancel it separately in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings to avoid future charges.
- Apple and Google keep their own records of store purchases, and we may keep limited transaction records where the law requires it.
